It is a matter of proud for the school that Mr Amandeep Sahni TGT( Maths) has written a book LEARNING BASIC CONCEPTS OF MATHEMATICS.
He is also running a you tube channel MATHS ACTIVITIES AND TRICKS
The purpose is to teach through Activities and make the students more efficient in Maths.

Participated in 64th National Taekwondo Games held at Chattisgarh and got second position. It is a big moment of proud for the school and team members.Sports teacher Mr Harmanjeet Singh did his part very well.

Our school is trying it’s best to provide activity based learning. All the teachers are making their efforts to use the technology at it’s appropriate level so that students may learn the concepts easily and it also remains their part of knowledge for a long time.Projectors are used not only in computer lab for every subject teacher but also in the classroom of Primary Section.

GMHS 49 D Chandigarh is continuously progressing under the sincere guidance of our worthy Headmistress Mrs Lovleen Kaur. It has added another feather on it’s cap. On 5th Sept 2018, Teacher’s Day, Mr Sanjay Singh TGT Science got STATE AWARD from Sh V P Singh Badnore Hon’able Governor Punjab cum Administrator in UT Chandigarh.

Our school has got another honour in SWACHHATA PAKHWARHA in which we got distinguished prize of 100% participations in handwashing and we feel pleasure to get this prize from our worthy MP Chandigarh Mrs Kiran Kher in the presence of respected Director School Education UT Rubinderjit Singh Brar.It is all due to Swachhata Abhyaan team of our school and our respected Headmistress Mrs Lovleen Kaur.

A beautiful atmosphere has been created in the Primary Section classrooms so that students may feel attracted and learn the poems and other literary things by enjoying them in general.
Primary Section
Mother’s Day was celebrated on 11-05-2018 in the school campus and a great enthusiasm was seen among students , teachers and parents as well.The chief guest was Dr Sarabjit Kaur. In the function all enjoyed entertaining games including teachers as well as mothers of the students.The ramp walk got a huge applaud by the audience. Mr Kuldeep Singh made the students prepared for cultural items . Headmistress Mrs Lovleen Kaur thanked all the mothers for their well participation.Mrs Jiwan Jyoti Rishi handled the stage very efficiently.
